What is your first choice for research?

Google
Yahoo
MSN
Wikipedia
Books
InfoTrac
Academic Search Premier

What frustrates you about using your favorite for research?

Too many results
Finding made-up or false information
I don't know how to cite the results
The same exact information on every page
I can't find what I am looking for
I can't find the exact answers
It takes too long

What is a Journal?

Professors often ask you to use Journal Articles for your research.  What do you think they mean when the say that?
A Blog
Something I write my thoughts in
Something my professors tell me to use
A magazine like publication for academics on a specific subject

Why Not Wikipedia?

Need Articles?

These tools may not have been mentioned in your session with a librarian, but your professor will be happy if you use them.

Need Books?

Books will always be great research tools.  Try searching our catalogto find books on your topic or WorldCat.org to find books in other libraries.   Remember, you are not limited to what we have.  Ask the librarians about your options to get books from other libraries.

Need Citations?

Your professors ask you to cite your research.  How do you do that?  These pages will provide you with some assistance.
