The material in Record Group 4 reflects Dr. Moon’s long and active association with the American Association of University Professors (AAUP). He was twice President of the Massachusetts conference, AAUP, and also served on the national level as a committee T member, and as Secretary of the Assembly of State Conferences.  Sub-record group 1 contains material relating to these activities on both the national and state levels.  There is a range of published materials as well as documents, committee minutes, correspondence, annual meeting items, and a great deal of miscellaneous material, especially from the Massachusetts State Conference (MSC).  Of particular note is Dr. Moon’s “Farewell Address” as president of the MSC given in April, 1984.  Sub-record group 2 consists of material relating to cases at a number of New England colleges and universities investigated by the AAUP.  Dr. Moon was involved in many of these investigations, and served as Chair of the Committee A investigation of Dean Jr. College.
